Parque Natural O Invernadoiro
Natural Park O Invernadoiro
Today we were contacted by a couple from Holland who are going to stay at A Casa da Eira in August asking for help to organize a visit to the Natural Park of O Invernadoiro. Since the information given on the official websites is a bit confusing we make a resumee of what we could find out:
  • For visits to  O Invernadoiro you have to get a permission which can be asked for by phone 0034988386026, by fax 0034988386420 or by e-mail to servizo.conservacion.natureza.ourense@xunta.es . You will have to state your name, the date you want to go, the number of person to assist and an adress (can be the adress of your accommodation in Galicia). They can send you the permission by fax, e-mail or postal service (state the option you preferr). Bear in mind that possibly no one speaks English (just in case you decide to call). It is recommended to ask for the permission at least one week in advance.
  • Link to the Galician Tourism Board about the Parque do Invernadeiro in English.
  • Link to the Rural Development Board of the Galician Government – only in Galician (on the right side just under the image you can download some maps and leaflets which might be of interest.
Si alguien conoce otros sitios e interes o informacion util, estaremos encantados en incorporarla a este post.
If anybody knows other sites of interest or practical information we shall be pleased to include it into this post. P.S. I’ve never been to the O Invernadoiro but after doing all this research now I feel like I have to.

About acasadaeira

A midsummer dream This is probably the best way to describe how A Casa da Eira saw the light. It just happened that once again we were combing the villages of the Riberira Sacra area when suddenly we found the house which, in the future, would be our bed&breakfast. Or should we better say the house found us. Immediately we were captivated by its long chestnut-wood balcony, its sand-coloured granite stone walls and the situation of the village at the upper part of the River Sil Canyon. It only took us one night to decide that this would be the place where we wanted to start our new life project. And it has been since 2001 that we have been sharing it with all our visitors.
